Dishes are cheap and quick to come and filling. Friendly staff. Updated from previous review on We've been there as a group of 4 child. They served us quick and the food was delicious! We had Masala Dosas and some starters. Masala dosa was so flavoursome and filling, I would highly recommend!!!! Expect a bit of a wait as there are many locals waiting for takeaway. Very spacious area, especially if you get a seat out the front.
We came here for dinner two nights in a row. Second time was much more up to snuff, but I still found the chutneys a bit bland. I actually preferred the fried rice to the dosa. Food was dirt cheap and came in big portions. Unfortunately I didn't see the previous review prior to dining here.
I feel like this is a YMMV kind of place. For me the first time was a 2, second time 3 to 4, so it averages out to a 3. We went here and were informed by the manager that everything is fried in butter! Wouldn't trust that it is vegan. We didn't eat here in the end. The place also didn't look particularly clean - I'd recommend Empire Cafe instead it was amazing! We were really impressed with this place, particularly the service- the manager in charge of the upper floor was very knowledgeable about veganism, and went through the menu with me to point out the items that were suitable.
The food was lovely, but it was the service that really made our experience! If you're like me amd prefer to eat with the locals this isn't the place for you. I personally think the food was a bit bland in taste and more overprices than others.
This local restaurant has everything you expect from a local eatery but with a slightly more upscale feel. The downstairs is a order at the counter and take a seat affair while upstairs you grab a seat and enjoy all the vegan art work on the walls while you wait for the staff to come and take your order.
Most things are vegan.
Dosai - Hotel Sangeetha
Be mindful of ghee or curd. We ordered the curry and rice Indian thali. It came with a massive portion of rice, some salad and 3 curries for only LKR. There was a side of curd yogurt that I didn't eat and a small dessert too but I couldn't tell if it was coconut based, condensed milk based or both so I left it alone as well.
If your eating upstairs I think it's customary to leave a small tip for the waiter as he will be the only one serving you from start to finish. We did and u saw others doing the same. Would definitely come back - a nice, local place with tasty, cheap food. What's not to like? We had a very nice Masala Dosa; served in reasonable time and with good service. I would eat here again in Kandy. There is sometimes a bit of confusion with staff about what's vegan and what's not.
There are two locations and the one closer to temple of the tooth is more expensive, busier and much hotter, especially if you have to sit upstairs. If you can, head to the location near Kandy railway station on Peredinaya road! Really like this place a lot.surreyrespiratorydoctor.com/390-iphone-location.php
